Our campaign to raise funds for The Boys and Girls' Club and others raises $4300! Thanks to all who supported our first ever Seven Seas Press publishing campaign. Creating, publishing and distributing The Little Blue Dragon was a labor of love that your support and enthusiastic encouragement made possible. We raised $4,302 dollars which paid for 128 donated books to be distributed in Greece, Australia and the United States. The funds also allowed for the translation and publication of a bilingual version ~ The Little Blue Dragon/ La Dragoncita Azul. We have identified a wonderful organization, Al Otro Lado, who will provide the bilingual books to the indigent deportees, migrants, and refugees they support with legal services (mostly immigration related) in Tijuana, Mexico. Just this week we contributed books to help rebuild the libraries at the Paradise schools, which burned in the recent Camp Fire. We've also recently donated books to HealWithin International, an L.A. based organization that supports children who have lost their mother, and Homeboy Industries also based in L.A. who offer services and support to former gang members. So many great folks out there doing great work, we are honored to partner with each one of them. We are deeply grateful for your generous support. What's in the works at Seven Seas Press? This spring we will release our next children's book, Mermaid Dreams--a beautiful watercolor illustrated book about a little girl's magical undersea adventures and her journey to conquering fear.
