Our Mission
Seven Seas Press creates and donates award-winning English and Bilingual children's books, with diverse characters and messages of compassion and hope to support youth literacy by building home libraries for families with limited resources.
We create partnerships with local and international organizations, who share our vision to empower, nurture and contribute to the lives of children. With each new book release, we raise funds through Indiegogo campaigns, grants and in-kind donations, to fund gifting the books to children through our partner organizations that serve them.
Through generous donations and community support, we have donated over 1,000 English Language and Spanish/English bilingual books, locally and internationally, in our first 5 years of operation. See our What's New blog posts for our latest projects.
We deeply value our local and international partners and donors, and are actively seeking ways to expand this network and outreach.
Some of our past and current philanthropic and nonprofit partners and recipients include: The Berkshire Hathaway Charitable Foundation, Girls Inc., CommUnify, Head Start, Storyteller Children's Center, The Goleta Valley Library, The Santa Barbara Library, Carpinteria Children's Project, The Boys and Girls Clubs, Artesanías para la Familia, Chinle Planting Hope Bookmobile at the Navajo Reservation, American Riviera Bank, Boone Printing, Santa Barbara Beautiful, and Centro del Pueblo; Border Angels/Angeles de la Frontera in Mexico, Crete for Life in Greece, Annunciation House in Texas, El Otro Lado in CA, (refugee and immigrant camps); Hospice, The Red Cross and other disaster relief organizations; countless schools, libraries, and more.
